Perched on a hilly plateau in Ljubuški, surrounded by vineyards and stone terraces, this family cellar offers sweeping views over Međugorje, Velež, Čvrsnica, and the historic Herceg Stjepan Fortress, a setting that feels made for long lunches and even longer conversations.
Start your visit with a guided tour of the vineyards and agricultural complex, then settle in for a tasting built around the winery’s own Blatina , Žilavka and Trnjak, autochthonous varieties grown on the same rocky terraces for generations. Tastings range from a relaxed introduction with a Herzegovinian meza and olive oil, to an extended experience that adds fruit brandies and liqueurs, all the way to a full experience which includes wine, spirits, and a traditional lunch shared with the winery’s owner.
House of Wine Sušac is also home to award-winning olive oil from some 420 mature trees, house-made rose, and a range of fruit brandies, all rooted in the same philosophy: honoring the bond between sun, vine, stone, and the people who tend them.
